Vermicelli Noodles Recipe | Sewai Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vermicelli / sewai
  • 1/2 green capsicum chopped 
  • 2 medium onions chopped 
  • 2 medium potatoes dices
  • 1/2 cup chopped French beans
  • 1 radish chopped
  • handful green peas(boiled)
  • some curry leaves/curry patta
  • 2 tbsp. tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp. soya sauce
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • salt as per taste
  • green chilly

Method:

  1. Boil water in a saucepan. Add vermicelli and cook for 1-2 minutes until tender
  2. When white froth starts coming immediately drain off water through a strainer
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add slit chilly and curry leaves
  4. Add onions to pan. Mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add radish, carrots, capsicum ,potatoes and French beans. Mix well and cook for another 3 minutes.
  6. Add boiled green peas, stir another 2 minutes
  7. Add salt and mix well.
  8. Add tomato, soya sauce, vinegar(optional) and mix well.
  9. Add vermicelli / sewai to the cooked vegetables, mix and sauté well for a minute or two. 
  10. Serve hot vermicelli noodles.
