Chocolate Cupcakes | Moist Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe


Chocolate cupcakes are very delicious and are a delight to the tastebuds. These are one of the favorite choice for kids.

This recipe makes 6 Cupcakes.
For 12 cup cakes exactly double the Ingredients. Number of Eggs to remain single only.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup + 1 tbsp. white flour (Maida)
  • 1/8 cup + 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 cup buttermilk
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup warm water

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C . 
  2. In a bowl mix flour , cocoa powder , baking soda and baking powder together.
  3. Pass through a sieve, discard the coarse particles.
  4. Add in the sugar and salt and mix.
  5. In a separate bowl put egg, vanilla extract, warm water, vegetable oil and buttermilk. Beat well and mix together.
  6. Add the contents of first bowl to egg mixture. Mix slowly for 1 minutes until well combined.
  7. Line muffin pan with cupcake liners. Fill liners 2/3rd full with the mixture.
  8. Bake for 14 minutes at 180° C or until done. To test it you can pass a toothpick, it should come out clean.  (For 12 cupcakes bake for 20 minutes.)
  9. Serve and enjoy hot and delicious chocolate cup-cakes. You can top your cupcakes with chocolate or vanilla ice-creams as well.
