Serves: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 2 cups long grain rice
- 4 cups water
- 2 tbsp. light sesame oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 10 curry leaves
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- lemon juice to taste
- salt to taste
Method:
- Boil water in a pan, add rice and salt to it.
- Cover with lid and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Turn off heat and leave while preparing seasoning.
- Heat Sesame Oil in small saucepan and fry the mustard seeds and curry leaves until leaves are brown and Mustard Seeds pop.
- Add the sesame seeds and keep stirring over medium heat until seeds turn golden brown.
- Pour the seasoning over rice and mix well.
- Add lemon juice to taste and serve along with vegetable curries or chutney.
