Fettuccine Alfredo is a rich and creamy pasta dish made from fettuccine tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter. Ingredients:


  • 2 cup dry fettuccini pasta 
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup Romano cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 pinches garlic salt


Method:


  1. Put water in a large vessel , add some salt and bring to boil.
  2. Add fettuccini pasta and cook until it gets tender - aprox 8 to 10 minutes. Drain using a colander.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. 
  4. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt. 
  5. Stir in both types of cheese over medium heat until melted, this will make the sauce thick.
  6. Add pasta to sauce. 
  7. Saute well so that the pasta is thoroughly coated. 
  8. Serve hot immediately.
