Homemade Donuts - Sugar and Chocolate


Donuts are one of the most favourite mouth watering attraction for kids.
These taste very delicious.

Ingredients:

For donuts

  • 2 cups refined flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp dry active yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup salted butter
  • oil for frying

For Glazing:

  • Chocolate spread or Syrup
  • Sugar powder


Method:


  1. Mix yeast ,sugar ,butter and milk into the flour.

  2. Mix everything and knead it to a soft dough.


  3. Dust the rolling with some flour.
  4. Take a big lump of  dough and shape it to round disc shape with considerable thickness.You can form 1 or 2 lumps based on the size of rolling board you have.
  5. Roll the disc over rolling board.

  6. Using a tumbler cut circular small discs.



  7. From a smaller bottle cap , make inner holes inside each discs.

  8. Take out the donuts shaped dough on tissue a plate and grease them with oil to avoid drying.

  9. Keep the donuts covered for 2 hours. After 2 hours , donuts will appear bigger(almost double)
    in size.
  10. Heat oil in a wok or kadhai and fry the donuts over medium flame till they turn golden brown.

  11. Keep the fried donuts on absorbant tissues.
  12. Heat the Chocolate spread and keep in a bowl.
  13. Glaze the donuts using Sugar powder and Chocolate spread / Syrup.

  14. Enjoy the delicious Donuts


TIPS:
We can sprinkle yeast over warm water and keep it for 5 minutes and then mix it in the flour. Yeast will get properly dissolved and puffing will happen nicely.
