Besan Laddu | Chickpea Flour Laddu | How to make besan laddu?



Besan laddu is one of the most simple varieties of laddus.
It is prepared by gram or checkpea flour cooked along with ghee.

Ingredients:


  • Sifted Gram flour or Besan 2 cups
  • 1 cup powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Ghee 
  • 10 Almonds 
  • few Cardamom


Method:

  1. Coarsely chop the almonds and crush the elaichi seeds to powder. Leave few almonds for garnishing.
  2. Heat the ghee in a thick-base pan on a low flame.
  3. Add besan and keep roasting till strong aroma comes across.


  4. Mix the crushed almonds and elaichi /cardamom powder to the besan and stir well till the besan just starts browning.

     
  5. Switch off the flame. Add the sugar and mix/knead well to form a dough.



     
  6. Shape tight balls from the mixture and put 1 almonds in each laddu during shaping them. Leave aside to cool. Laddus are ready to be served and eaten. 

Note:

  1. You can store the laddu's in airtight containers and keep it easily for 1 week.
  2. You can also use pistachios or raisins for garnishing.
