Dahi Kachumbar | Yogurt Onion Salad | Onion Raita


Ingredients:


  • 3 medium onions
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 3 fresh green chillies, seeded and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro or coriander

Method:


  1. Chop the onions into thin slices, sprinkle with the salt and set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible. 
  3. Mix together the yogurt and ginger
  4. Then fold in the onions and the rest of the ingredients.Mix well.
  5. Cover and chill thoroughly before serving.
