Makhane ki kheer is an awesome Indian dessert made mostly during festivals and fasting seasons.
Ingredients:
- 10-15 Raisins
- 8-10 cashews
- 5 Almonds
- 1 tbsp. ghee.
- 1 Glass Milk
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 bowl Makhana
Method:
- Dry roast Makhana over high heat till they turn golden brown.
- Put the roasted makhanas in blender and coarsely blend it.
- Heat ghee in Kadhai and roast dry fruits till they turn brownish. Reserve some for garnishing.
- Put coarse makhana powder over it and saute for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
- Boil milk in a another vessel. Once milk gets boiled pour over the contents of kadhai and mix.
- Keep cooking over low flame stirring continuously till the milk is reduced almost ¾th of original. This might take 10-15 minutes.
- At last add sugar and mix well. Switch off the flame
- Pour into serving bowl and garnish with Almonds, Raisins and Cashews. It taste great in both hot and cold states.
