Mint cucumber raita / Kheera Pudina Raita

Ingredients:


  • 2 cups natural, low fat yogurt, whisked till smooth
  • ½ cup mint leaves /pudina Leaves,
  • Finely chopped/grated 1 large cucumber /Kheera
  • Finely chopped ½ onion,
  • ¾ tsp roasted cumin powder/ jeera powder (optional)
  • Pinch of red chilly powder
  • 2 tsp honey pinch salt
  • Some olive slices for garnishing (Optional)

Method:


  1.  Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
  2.  Put in the fridge to cool down for 1-2 hours.
  3.  Garnish with a cucumber slice, sliced olive and a mint sprig.


This popular,  cool and fresh, Indian dip can be served with almost any snack or meal, especially if it is spicy. Try it with vegetable curry or as a dip.
