Ingredients:
For Koftas balls:
- 200 gms Cottage Cheese (Paneer)
- 2 Potatoes
- 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp Cornflour
- Oil for frying
For Gravy:
- 4 medium Onion
- 3 Tomatoes
- Coriander Leaves (Dhania Patta) chopped finely.
- 1/2 cup Curd (Dahi)
- 10 Cashewnuts crushed finely.
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seed (Jeera)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric (Haldi)
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 Bay Leaf (Tej Patta)
- 2 tblsp Ghee
DIRECTION:
- Wash the potatoes , boil potatoes and peel them.
- Grate paneer and potatoes and keep aside in a bowl.
- Add salt, red chili powder, garam masala, cornflour in the same bowl and mix everything properly.
- Make round balls of this mixture.
- Now heat oil in a pan.
- Fry balls in the oil till brown in color. These are the kofta balls,
- Now lets work on preparing gravy. Grind onion and tomatoes together.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and bay leaf.
- Add onion, tomato paste and cook til it turn brownish, stirring continously.
- When it leaves oil add curd, cashewnut powder, salt, red chili powder, turmeric, and garam masala.
- Stir it continously for a 1-2 minute.
- Then add 2 cup of water. Put on the lid and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add koftas to it and after cooking another 1 minute at low flame , switch off the flame.
- Let it cool and settle for few minutes.
- Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
