Paneer Parantha Recipe | Cottage Cheese Stuffed Paratha

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg whole wheat flour(atta)
  • 2 tsp refined oil
  • 200 gms Grated Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1 finely chopped Onion  
  • Small piece of Ginger (grated)  or ginger garlic paste
  • 1 or 2 finely chopped green Chilies 
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala 
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper 
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain
  • Ghee /Butter for frying 











Method:

  1. Take flour in a large vessel, mix refined oil , some salt , ajwain and mix it well.

  2. Start putting little water slowly and  knead it to make non sticky and soft dough.

  3. In a pan heat oil put green chillies, onion . Saute for 2 minute. Put ginger garlic paste and  mix. Saute for another  minute






  4. Put spices and cook  for another minute
  5. Put grated Paneer/Cheese and mix well .
  6. Stuffing is ready , keep it aside for cooling.
  7. Divide dough into handful sized balls.
  8. Spread dough balls on rolling board with hands and fill stuffing inside it as shown.
  9. Grease rolling board and roll the stuffed balls using rolling pin to form circular shaped Parathas
     

  10. Heat the Griddle/Tawa. Put the paratha on heated Griddle and heat on one side

  11. Turn it and pour half tablespoon oil or butter. Spread it on the paratha.





  12. Turn it and  pour oil or butter on the other side and spread. 

  13. Shallow fry over low heat  till golden brown on both sides. 


  14. Serve paneer paratha hot with yogurt (curd) and pickle. 
Note : While cooking we have proportionately scaled down the quantity of ingredients to get  6 Medium sized paratha. The above recipe will give 10-12 parathas and serves 4 person
