Banana Fritters | Indonesian Style banana fritters


This is a  Indonesian banana fritter recipe. It can be served either hot or cold but taste better in hot. It can be kept refrigerated for 2-3 days. Enjoy the natural sweetness of banana in this delicious recipe.

Preparation Time : 10 min
Cooking Time : 15 min

Ingredients:


  • 2 Cup all-purpose flour or Maida
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoon white sugar
  • oil for frying

Method:


  1. In a big bowl mash bananas and sugar. 
  2. Put flour , salt and baking powder and mix well.
  3. Add 1/2 cup water and mix well
  4. Leave the mixture for 30 minutes
  5. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed or thick based pan.
  6. Drop ladleful of batter(flour banana mixture) into hot oil. 
  7. Cook both sides until it becomes brown.
  8. Drain on absorbent napkins.
  9. Garnish and serve


Tips: Sift flour to avoid lumps
