Ingredients:
- 250 g fresh cottage cheese(Paneer)
- 200 g Khoya or condensed milk.
- ½ cup cream
- ½ cup milk
- 200 g powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped pistachios(Pista) or almonds(Badam)
- 1 tbsp ghee/butter
Method:
- Mash the khoya and paneer with hands and mix well
- Add milk and cream and mix everything.
- Heat oil in a pan and put the mixture into the pan and fry on medium heat till it becomes dry.
- Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool.
- When the mixture is slightly hot add powdered sugar and cardamom powder in it and mix well.
- Take a wide plate and grease it with ghee.Pour mixture into the plate to form a uniform layer of approx 1/2 inch thickness and garnish with the chopped almonds/pistachios.
- Keep in the refrigerator and allow it to cool for 2-3 hours. Once cooled take out and cut the mixture into flat cuboids.
- Enjoy the awsome Kalakand.
