Ingredients:
- 3 apples
- 1/2 cup water,
- 2 tbsp. of sugar (or more as per taste),
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 a tsp of mixed spice(containing ground cinnamon , nutmeg and cloves)
Method:
- Peel , core and slice the apples.
- In a large pot, bring apples, lemon juice, spices, and water to a boil over high. Reduce heat and simmer until apples are very soft and looks mashed up, for approx 25 to 30 minutes.
- Mash the apples, rub and pass through a sieve, re-heat, and serve. Can also be served cold.
