APPLE SAUCE.

Ingredients:


  • 3 apples
  • 1/2 cup water, 
  • 2 tbsp. of sugar (or more as per taste), 
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 a tsp of mixed spice(containing ground cinnamon , nutmeg and cloves)

Method:


  1. Peel , core and slice the apples.
  2. In a large pot, bring apples, lemon juice, spices, and water to a boil over high. Reduce heat and simmer until apples are very soft and looks mashed up, for  approx 25 to 30 minutes.
  3. Mash the apples, rub and pass through a sieve, re-heat, and serve. Can also be served cold.
