Ingredients:
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 12 slices bread
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup shortening
- Jelly
- 1 tsp sugar powder
Method:
- Combine eggs, salt and milk.
- Spread 6 slices of bread with peanut butter.
- Top with remaining slices of bread and cut in half diagonally.
- Dip sandwiches in egg mixture and fry on preheated, well-greased griddle until golden brown on both sides.
- Garnish with powdered sugar and serve hot with jelly.
